Insurance
ALIGHT Counseling and Consulting is a self-pay private practice. We do not accept insurance. I can provide you with a superbill to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement if you would like. Some insurance companies will reimburse all or part of the costs associated with therapy depending on your plan. It is ultimately the client’s responsibility to confirm any insurance benefits with their insurance company prior to treatment. I am happy to assist in this process but cannot make any guarantees of quoted benefits. Please note that payments are due at the end of each session.
I’d recommend asking these questions to your insurance provider to help determine your benefits:
- Does my health insurance plan include mental health benefits?
- What is the out of network reimbursement for mental health services?
- Do I have a deductible? If so, what is it and have I met it yet?
- Does my plan limit how many sessions per calendar year I can have? If so, what is the limit?
- Do I need written approval from my primary care physician in order for services to be covered?
Payment
I accept all major credit and debit cards as forms of payment.
Cancellation Policy
Your session time is reserved for you. If you are unable to attend a session, please make sure you cancel at least 24 hours beforehand. Otherwise, you will be charged for the full rate of the session.
Good Faith Estimate
Under the No Surprises Act, you have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give clients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, this includes psychotherapy services.
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services. Please be mindful that this is just an estimate and as I gather more information about your symptoms and severity, your Good Faith Estimate may be revised to reflect this new information. Any time your Good Faith Estimate is revised it will be updated and stored in your client portal. You have the right to request an updated Good Faith Estimate at any time in your treatment.
You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. Your Good Faith Estimates will be kept up to date and accessible for you to download in your client portal. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
